ABOUT ME
HELLO, MY NAME IS MISTYRE
As the oldest of five in a single-parent household, imagination was my best friend.
It made meals out of ramen, turned thrifted jackets into statement pieces, and ultimately propelled me to a full scholarship at UNC Chapel Hill where I studied Art Direction and User Experience Design.
To put myself through college, I used my technical and design skills to freelance for socially conscious companies. Years later, what began out of necessity has blossomed into a creative practice that helps others scale their dreams.
I left my career in Corporate User Experience Design because I was burnt TF out...and it wasn't creative enough for me.
I believe that creativity is instrumental to maintaining your bottom line– and protecting your vacation. My clients do too.
Before I could even launch our Instagram account, the Lab led organizations like The Embodiment Institute to multi-figure launches, became the premier creative partner for Durham's first Black-woman-led photography studio, and shipped website designs and brand identities for the greatest university in the U.S. (Go HEELS! I mean, Micheal Jordan went there).
CORE BELIEF
THE LAB EXISTS AT THE NEXUS OF DREAM AND DO. WE CHASE IDEA AND KNOW CONCEPT IS KING. WE ARE WHEREVER OUR CREATIVITY DEMANDS US TO BE, YET ALWAYS AT THE INTERSECTION OF STRATEGY, ART, AND DESIGN.
